The Delines were formed after Richmond Fontaine's singer-songwriter Willy Vlautin was deeply moved upon hearing Amy Boone (formerly of The Damnations) sing a single ballad. Inspired by her voice, Vlautin spent over a year secretly writing songs with her in mind before finally approaching her to start a band. Fortunately, Boone was drawn to the material, and The Delines came to life.
Support comes from Chris Eckman—musician, producer, soundtrack composer, and co-founder of Glitterbeat Records. Formerly the frontman of The Walkabouts, Eckman's solo work has evolved into a more intimate and cinematic sound. Often compared to artists such as Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, and Jacques Brel, his music blends elements of Americana, folk, and European influences, creating a rich and evocative listening experience.
