Edgar's Latin Jazz Quintet features saxophonist Chris Bowden (UK), bassist Tom Hill (USA), drummer Miles Levin (UK) and percussionist Richard Sealy (Barbados & UK) blends an eclectic combination of music, with styles such as hard bop, funk, jazz, Latin jazz, Brazilian, salsa and Venezuelan music.
 
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Edgar Marcias has established himself in the Midlands (UK) as a sought-after pianist in different musical styles including Jazz, Latin Jazz, Brazilian Music & Salsa.
 
Edgar has had the opportunity of accompanying and playing alongside artists of international reputation such as David Murray, Hal Singer (Ex-Duke Ellington Band Tenor Saxophonist), Wynton Marsalis and drum educator Jim Chapin, The Swingle Singers with Don Lusher, Jean Toussaint, Peter King, Alan Barnes, Steve Waterman, Don Weller, Bobby Wellings, Tony Levin, Simon Spillett, and as part of Andy Hamilton's band he has accompanied top tenor sax Scott Hamilton (USA).
 
In Caracas, Venezuela, Edgar played with top Venezuelan Latin Jazz personalities such as saxophonist Víctor Cuíca, Brazilian singer & guitarist Ernesto "Renán" Uquillas, the late vibraphonist, drummer and multi-percussionist Freddie Roldán, and the legendary timbalero & drummer Frank "El Pavo" Hernández, among many others.
