One definite 'Legendary USA Soul band' make their debut in Nottingham for the 1st time ever at The Royal Concert Hall Nottingham.

The band that were 'top of the list to book' for Rock City back in the 80's but who were unable to do so finally come to Nottingham!

From Altanta Georgia USA , The Legendary SOS Band celebrate the 45th anniversary of their biggest ever USA release 'Just Be Good To Me' – Written and recorded in the Autumn of 1982 and released in the Spring of 1983 on the iconic 'On The Rise' Album ,In the United States, it reached the number-2 spot on the Billboard R&B singles chart.

More importantly, in the UK the song topped the Dancefloor charts for over 6 weeks and also reached the Top 10 in the UK national charts

45 years on and the group enjoy legendary status amongst UK soul fans with their subsequent hit singles Just be Good to me, Weekend Girl, High Hopes, Borrowed Love and the #1 hit single The Finest.

Special guests on the night will be the UK's very own LOOSE ENDS playing a full band show. Like the SOS Band, Loose Ends emerged in the mid 80's ,the bands biggest hit Hanging on a String dominated UK danceflloors in the Spring of 1985 , it also reached No. 1 on the US Billboard R&B chart, making Loose Ends the first African-British band to top that chart. Subsequent singles such as Magic Touch, Stay a Little While Child, the massive #1 single in the USA Slowdown and Gonna Make You Mine established LOOSE ENDS as 'The UK Soul band' – taken to the heart by all the suburban soul boys and girls around the UK. Indeed it could be said that the band paved the way for artistes such as Soul II Soul, Gabrielle and others to follow in the next decade.
