The Tom Barford Quintet bring a bold, modern approach to jazz, mixing up-tempo grooves, rich harmonies, and spirited improvisation. A line up of internationally renowned musicians play the music from Tom's latest album "Live at the Parakeet" recorded as part of the 2024 London Jazz Festival
The music is eclectic, virtuosic playing over fast tempos, Wayne Shorter and Vince Mendoza inspired compositions and even some tasty arrangements of some Joe Henderson classics!
Tom Barford released his Kenny Wheeler Prize winning album "BLOOMER" on Edition Records back in 2018 to critical acclaim. He also enjoys co-leading the band AuB who have released two albums with Edition Records and Whirlwind Recordings.
