In the spectacular surroundings of St Mary’s Church, the Villiers Quartet perform a breathtaking concert.
Haydn’s Quartet in D Major op. 76/5 was composed during the golden period of Haydn’s writing for string quartet. Canadian composer Vivian Fung’s stunning Quartet No. 1 takes inspiration from folk music of China and Indonesia.
The concert finishes with Franz Schubert’s mesmerising “Rosamunde” Quartet in A minor. A perfect concert for a summer’s evening.
