Calling All Nottingham Explorers
Wild Days Lodge Forest Pre-school is celebrating Walk to School Week 2026, a national event dedicated to getting little legs moving and hearts pumping. Whether children are heading to school, preschool, or nursery, the daily commute is being turned into a mini outdoor adventure.
How to Get Involved
This is a self-guided event designed to help children notice the magic of nature on their doorstep. Whether they walk, scoot, or cycle, every step is a chance to grow strong, feel happy, and keep the city's air clean.
Unlock Your Inner Explorer
To make the journey even more magical, a free sensory discovery sheet can be downloaded from the website. It shows items that can be seen, heard, touched and smelled along the way. You can tick them off as you go.
Join the Gang
Wild Days Lodge would love to see even more Nottingham schools, preschools, and nurseries get involved in the fun. Educators or parents who want to join the "explorer gang" and encourage active travel across the city are encouraged to get in touch.
Ready to start the adventure?
Get in touch: Call 07942 497 700 or email info@wilddayslodge.co.uk to collaborate.
Download the sheet: Visit the website to get the discovery guide.
