Nottingham’s Squire Performing Arts Centre announces this season's line up, with folk music and comedy leading the way. Set in the heart of inner-city Nottingham, The Squire Performing Arts Centre is a versatile, creative space for performing arts.

That last stretch of Winter after Christmas and New Year’s often seems a never-ending stretch of cold weather, January blues and long, dark nights. Winter Wonderlands and pantomimes have been replaced by hunkering down for nights in front of the telly. Luckily, the return of Nottingham Light Night for a 15^th year brings us a free weekend festival of art, sound and community culture served as an exciting beacon in the midst of a long winter.

This week, we were invited to see The Beekeeper of Aleppo at Nottingham Playhouse. This drama is running from Thursday 9th – Saturday 25th February, with various accessible performances available.

We joined the New Art Exchange for the opening of their new (and free) ‘Journey of the Mind’ exhibition, and were welcomed into a fascinating display of mindfulness, Sikh teachings and storytelling.
