The Classic Thriller Season continues at the Theatre Royal Nottingham until Saturday 1 September with Shock!. For more information please visit www.trch.co.uk "Theatre Royal Nottingham: The Theatre Royal is a magnificent, historic mansion theatre, with one of the most spectacular auditoriums in the country.  It has a fantastic acoustic.  The theatre is big, but intimate, and I’ve always found the people (staff and audience) to be incredibly friendly. Rocket at Saltwater, Cornerhouse: Saltwater has very good food, excellent staff and a fantastic balcony overlooking the city skyline in summer.  It’s quiet and friendly, and an ideal spot to learn lines. Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem: I love real ale – I’m a member of CAMRA - and this pub is excellent for real ale.  It is unique and quirky with fascinating cave-like rooms carved out of the rock. Nottingham Castle grounds: I think the castle grounds make the perfect place to go on a Sunday afternoon, with tranquil gardens and stunning views out across the city in every direction. Broadway Cinema, Hockley: It’s great for any city to have a really good independent cinema, offering something a bit different from the norm.  I saw a Ken Loach film at the Broadway a few weeks ago.  I think the café has a great vibe, too. It’s arty without being pretentious. The Park: The Park has a very good network of theatrical digs and most of the Thriller company stay there during the run.  The houses are simply stunning and the architecture is fascinating.  It’s very nice to be able to stay in such an exclusive private estate, right there in the city centre."
