The Lost City Adventure Golf swings open

Enthusiastic adventurers were queuing in Nottingham’s Cornerhouse last week, as The Lost City adventure golf opened its doors. One group of keen explorers even took the day off work to be the first to play! 

After investing £1m to bring some Inca mystery to the Cornerhouse basement, owner Lane Scott has created the first indoor course of its kind in the East Midlands. 

At the opening on Wednesday 14 August, Lane commented: “It’s been a busy couple of weeks to say the least, building up to opening. Everyone involved has worked really hard and I hope visitors enjoy the adventures we have created.” 

Not only did some players take the day off work to be first in the queue, but two intrepid adventure golfers drove over from Birmingham to try out the courses. Owen Johnson and his dad Paul are avid adventure golfers, members of the British Minigolf Association and have played all over the UK in competitions. 

The Lost City adventure golf features two 18-hole courses with dramatic interactive features, such as talking statues and musical landscaping. Towering ancient walls complete with animated snakes and moving rocks transport players into a lost world of epic adventure, where they can discover their inner ‘Indiana Jones’ – and test their putting skills at the same time.
