2.  SLIDE DOWN THE HELTER SKELTER


The popular fairground ride is back! Enjoy a steaming mug of Glühwein at the built-in bar before climbing up the steps of the traditional Helter Skelter and sliding back down in style. Loved by adults and children alike, it’s sure to put a smile on your face.

If you’re looking for even more entertainment, other traditional fairground rides such as a Carousel and a Santa Toy Ride are available to enjoy.




3. CHILL OUT IN YOUR OWN COSY IGLOO


Step into the wintery bliss of Trinity Square to explore even more market stalls filled with food and drink. Lined with glistening festive trees, the square is a feast for the eyes. Pull your partner to the Kissing stands for a warming kiss under the mistletoe or head over to the several cosy glass Igloo domes sprinkled around. Each dome provides a stunning space to chill out with friends and family. No need to book, just turn up. So, grab a hot drink, a blanket, and snuggle up. Super Instagrammable! Trinity Square, a new addition to this year’s offering, is just a short five-minute walk from the main attractions at Old Market Square. The combination of Old Market Square and Trinity Square gives you a wider range of treats and experiences that you can, above all, enjoy safely.




4. HAVE A TIPPLE AT THE APRES SKI THEMED POP-UP BAR


It’s time to unleash your inner Chalet Girl and visit the Aprés ski-themed bar. Nottingham is transporting you straight to the Alps so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a glass of mulled wine, cider, or hot chocolate. This cosy sophisticated bar is a great place to warm up from the wintery chills, not to forget a perfect setting for after work drinks!




5. TAKE IN THE SIGHTS FROM THE OBSERVATION WHEEL


If you want to make your visit even more unforgettable, hop on this 32m high observation wheel for stunning panoramic views over the legendary city. Soar through the air and above the rooftops of Nottingham City Centre. The wheel has enclosed capsules to ensure maximum comfort for all passengers!

6. GET SOME CHRISTMAS SHOPPING DONE


This year’s Christmas market has been expanded which means a greater variety of gifts than ever! Each trader is carefully picked to ensure diverse and high-quality goods are available to the public. Under the blissful wooden arches find anything from homemade chutneys, artisan cheese, Christmas decorations, pottery, luxury tweed accesories, toys, and much, much more. There is something to take everyone’s fancy.




7.  TAKE A PICTURE UNDER THE 60FT CHRISTMAS TREE


The traditional 60ft Norway Spruce tree will be adorned by 4,000 twinkling lights and will take centre stage in Old Market Square. Snap a selfie underneath the pine branches and share it on your socials using the hashtag #NottinghamChristmas.




8. WONDER DOWN UNDER THE CHRISTMAS STREET LIGHTS


This year’s Christmas market opening coincides with the turning on of the Christmas Lights, so take your shopping further into the surrounding streets of Nottingham and marvel at the glistening city streetlights. Explore Nottingham’s great array of brand favourites and independent shops. The city’s compact size makes it easy to visit all the shops on your itinerary within your visit.  


9. SETTLE DOWN AT THE AGE OLD YE OLDE TRIP TO JERUSALEM


If you’re in need of some rest bite consider a trip to England’s oldest inn, Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, a treasure of Nottingham for thousands of years. 10. TIME YOUR TRIP WITH ANOTHER EVENT HAPPENING IN NOTTINGHAM

Carry on the festivities at Christmas at Wollaton Hall, or have a giggle at the Nottingham Comedy Festival, or step back into the regency period with Christmas at Belvoir Castle.
