TWO SHOWS:
Award winning British soul singer Amba Tremain makes her debut at Peggy's Skylight. Influences of Aretha, with a touch of Alicia Keys, Amba delivers a huge, unadulterated soul show and packs a big punch with her live vocals. 'Real Natural Grit. Brilliant' - Simon Cowell
"Amba has a voice that will amaze you. One of the UKs biggest undiscovered talents" – Rumer
"So much soul in her voice, so powerful, her songs really show off her vocals and what a powerhouse voice she has" – Steph Newenhouse BBC Introducing.
British soul vocalist Amba Tremain is an award winning singer from the South Coast. Having been a session singer for icons such as Boy George, the late Eva Cassidy and Rumer, Amba has also been an artist in her own right for over 20 years. Amba's original compositions have gained recognition by both commercial music listeners on BBC Radio and Spotify editorial playlists, and more recently with blues fans all over the country.
Having been nominated for 'Emerging Artist of the Year' by the UK Blues Federation in 2024 and being crowned the winner of the 'Introducing Stage' at the 2025 'Blues, Rhythm and Rock Festival'. Amba has enjoyed sell out shows with her own band and as part of other elite ensembles such as the 'Soul Picnic' featuring vocalists Rumer and Jo Harman and a whole host of world class musicians. Amba's musical roots are deeply planted in soul, which has shaped her own writing and vocals from a young age with many people making comparisons to the classic soul singers of yesteryear. Amba's set at Peggy's will be a melting pot of classic covers and original material with powerhouse vocals and a stellar band to match
"Excellent sets by one of the tightest live bands around, with one of the most talented singer/songwriters out front. They deserve much greater recognition" – Richard Donnelly Coolham Live Music Club
