Hanwell Wine Estate

£49
Join Hanwell for a relaxing morning learning the basics of embroidery – perfect for absolute beginners.
Expert tutor Michaela will guide you through step by step teaching traditional stitches and techniques. This great introductory workshop will open your eyes to the possibilities and uses of embroidery to personalise and showcase your newly creative skill. Spend a morning relaxing and enjoy trying something new.
The embroidery is a deceptively simple floral design, based loosely on a Scabious. You will learn how to do back stitch, stem stitch, French knots and some free-form stitching. All materials, tools and refreshments are included and by the end of your session you will have mastered the basics, been inspired and have completed your first embroidered picture, similar to the image above.
Perfect for beginners or people with experience who would like to spend time with like-minded people.
