Bonuru is the creation of writer, bandleader & guitarist Jacob Marshall-Tierney. His compositions have their roots in the exciting new sounds of UK Jazz, but also draw influence from bands as diverse as Nirvana, Tool and The Police. Bonuru are signed to Blue Adventure Records, a label set up by NK-OK of Blue Lab Beat's fame. Bonuru have been played on BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 3, WWFM, and Jazz FM, and have been highly praised by prestigious DJs such as Gilles Peterson, Soweto Kinch and Emily Pilbeam. Bonuru are definitely one to watch – and they're just getting started!

Bonuru released their debut album, thin Places, in July this year.
