As the festive season approaches we all want to take advantage of the late-night shopping to find that special something for our loved ones. Shop local this Christmas and support our independent shops and well-known retailers on Nottingham’s high streets. Some festive Christmas markets are also going ahead this year - perfect if you want to buy your loved one something truly unique. For information about parking and transport please click here.
Before you head into the city or the county to shop please plan your journey ahead, where possible try take advantage of a mid-week shopping trip rather than venturing into the city over the weekend, when it is likely to be busier in the local shops.
Enjoy some late night shopping at Victoria Centre this Winter and tick all your Christmas presents off your list!
Christmas opening times:
Please note that Victoria Centre is closed on Christmas Day and that individual store opening times may vary. Please check with each store before you visit. Remember, some individual store opening times will vary so it’s always useful to check with the store if you’re planning to visit a specific shop.

East Midlands Designer Outlet is situated in the Heart of England, conveniently located just 35 minutes from Nottingham, where you can find all your favourite designer brands under one roof. The centre has over 65 of your favourite brands which include: Adidas, Ben Sherman, Calvin Klein, Converse, Crew Clothing, Fossil, GAP, Hugo Boss, Joules, Kurt Geiger, Lacoste, Levi’s, Lindt, Nike, Radley, Tommy Hilfiger and Yankee Candle.
They are open from 9am - 9pm from Monday to Saturday from 1 - 23 December. On Sundays, they are open from 10am - 6pm. Larger stores are open 11am to 5pm on Sundays. Larger stores include M&S, Next, Nike, Adidas, Clarks, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour.
Christmas week opening hours:
Nottingham Contemporary is delighted to return this year with the popular event, Craft Fair Contemporary. Featuring over 40 designers and makers including independent, local sellers and creators from around the UK, they have a wide selection of items for sale, allowing you can shop locally with ease this Christmas. There will be a fabulous variety of contemporary craft and design including ceramics, textiles, jewellery, Christmas decorations, homeware, candles, prints, cards and lots more. The event is held over 3 days from Friday 5 - Sunday 7 December. You can catch the fair from 5pm - 8pm on Friday, 10am - 6pm on Saturday and 11am - 4pm on Sunday.
On Wednesday 10 and 17 December, Nottingham Contemporary, will also be keeping its doors open later than normal for their Late Night Art and Shopping evenings from 5pm – 8pm. The perfect opportunity to find something unique and different among their range of ceramics, glassware, jewellery, homewares, toys and books, and more made by designers, makers and publishers from across the UK.
Enjoy late night shopping and extended restaurant hours at Hardwick Hall this Christmas season until 8.30pm. Available on selected late night opening days on 28 - 29 Nov, 5 - 6 Dec, 12 - 13 Dec, 19 20 Dec, 21 - 22 Dec. There’s no need to book in advance as there will be free flow entry from 12.30pm - 8.00pm, with last entry at 7.15pm.
Throughout the month of December, Nottingham’s Winter Wonderland market stalls will be open on Sunday – Thursday from 10am – 8.30pm and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10am – 9pm. Whether you’re looking for delicious artisan cheeses, homemade chutneys, gorgeous jewellery, or maybe the perfect Christmassy scent, you’ll be spoilt for choice with their wide selection of stalls from all over the world.
Come to Sneinton Market on Saturday 13 December for the Yuletide Night Market, open from 3pm – 8pm. With over 40 stalls with unique handmade gifts by local artisans, you’ll be sure to find that something special!
