About

Peggy's Skylight
Friday 4 September 2026 | 6.45pm & 9.15pm
Tickets: £18

From smouldering guitar hero to soulful storyteller, Connor Selby returns with his award-winning blend of blues, roots and modern soul. Fresh from critical acclaim and major touring success, his understated intensity and deeply expressive playing creates a masterclass in modern blues.

"Selby plays the blues with a searing, soulful intensity like he was born in the Mississippi delta… An Eric Clapton for the 2020s" –  Mojo Magazine

"He is at the stage where 'the world is his oyster' as he is an all-encompassing artist who is comfortable in all roots styles." –  Blues Matters

Authentic, roots-based voices have penetrated the mainstream in recent years; from the soulful yearns of early Leon Bridges, the groove of Gary Clark Jr., the raw and haunting delivery of Ray LaMontagne or the earthy tones of Rag 'n Bone Man. Connor Selby's voice echoes these trailblazers, enveloping his music with an emotional integrity.

The fast-rising star featured on Dire Straits legend Mark Knopfler's 2024 charity single, "Going Home (Theme From Local Hero)," along with Bruce Springsteen, Slash, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Pete Townshend, Sam Fender, Tom Morello, Brian May and more.

He has played with The Who at Wembley Stadium and appeared at the Hyde Park Festival in London, alongside Pearl Jam and Stereophonics. He has toured with powerhouse singer Beth Hart, including a performance at the iconic London Palladium, as well as shows with Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robert Cray, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Betty LaVette, Soul Icon P.P. Arnold, and produced a standout performance at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival.

He burst into the attention of the wider world when he released his 2023 'MOJO Magazine Blues Album of the Year' Provogue Records self-titled debut, which has already clocked up over 2 million streams and support from BBC Radio 2's Cerys Matthews, as well as magazines such as Classic Rock, Guitarist, the blues world and beyond.
He was also voted "Young Artist of the Year" at the UK Blues Awards for three consecutive years (2020, 2021, and 2022) and win the 2025 and "2026 Traditional Blues Artist of the Year" awards.

"With this release, Connor Selby has not only given us his most personal statement to date—he has delivered one of the standout roots albums of 2025." –  Jace media
