Dog Access Information
Dogs are welcome throughout all outdoor areas of the racecourse. Indoor access is limited to the designated section at the far end of the grandstand hall, with hospitality areas and other indoor spaces remaining dog-free. All dogs must remain on leads at all times while on site to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending.
Fun Dog Competitions
A variety of dog competitions and fun shows will take place throughout the day, giving canine guests the chance to take centre stage. Categories include Prettiest Bitch, Handsome Hound, Fanciest Trick, Waggiest Tail and the ever-popular Best in Show.
A special "Dog the Judge Wants to Take Home" category adds an extra element of fun, celebrating those irresistible personalities that capture attention. Whether showing off tricks, strutting in style or simply enjoying the atmosphere, there is something for every dog to enjoy.
Best Turned Out Dog
The search for the Best Turned Out Dog will also take place throughout the raceday. Judges will be keeping a close eye out for standout style, from glossy coats and eye-catching accessories to overall star quality. A prize will be awarded to the winner, making it the perfect opportunity for canine companions to arrive looking their very best.
A Pawsome Afternoon Out
With racing taking place throughout the afternoon, Southwell offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy live sport while spending quality time with pets. Spacious outdoor areas, a sociable atmosphere and a relaxed setting create an ideal environment for dog owners and racing fans alike.
