Sunday 5 May 2019 | 7.30am - 9.30am
Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre
Tickets: £7.50 (£6.00 for RSPB Members)
Rise and shine to birdsong! If rising before dawn is not for you, this International Dawn Chorus Day we'll also be running an early morning walk at Budby South Forest.
Birds will still be singing to defend territories and attract mates at this time and we'll be talking a steady walk guided by Budby Site Manager, Chloe, picking out early bird calls and identifying as we go. Enjoy the morning's peaceful atmosphere and soak up the sounds of spring.
The walk will last approximately 2 hours, please wear layers and suitable footwear, and bring binoculars if you have them.
Unfortunately this event is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Due to the sensitivity of wildlife, we ask that you don't bring along dogs.
Please note:
This walk will take place at Budby South Forest, the meeting point is Budby car park on Swinecote road. Follow signs to Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre from the A616 and Budby is 100m after the junction on the right. No facilities are available on site.
Not suitable for under 8's.
Please book via EventBrite (www.visitsherwood.co.uk/events) or in the Visitor Centre. Please note, a booking fee applies via EventBrite.
