At Lakeside Arts’ ‘Cells, Viruses and Bacteria workshop’ you will explore how to represent real microscopic organisms and invent your own creations, using enlarged images of these tiny life forms. Through drawing, painting, and mixed media, you will create both a hanging mobile and a petri dish-inspired artwork to take home!

With Rufford Abbey Country Park’s Magical Fairy Trail you will be stepping straight into a world of wonder and enchantment. From Saturday 7 February until Sunday 1 March your little ones can embark on an enchanting adventure at Rufford’s filled with hidden worlds, magical creatures and dazzling discoveries, with a little help from the fairies! The city and county have some fantastic Adventure Playgrounds to explore too. Nottingham Castle's fort is the place for a fun filled adventure in the shadow of the castle itself, whilst Belvoir Castle's woodland adventure park, featuring a giant timber castle, along with a ship and towers and set in 4 acres of parkland, is the perfect place for imaginations to run wild! Sherwood Pines have recently opened their new forest adventure play too -  designed and built with accessibility at its heart. It's themed around King John’s Palace, which was historically located close to the current Sherwood Pines site.
