Reimagining songs from the late, great David Bowie. Revisiting & exploring some of his most-loved songs, as well as delving into some of his lesser-known back catalogue. '…One of contemporary music's most imaginative song stylists' (Jazzwise)
With the success of her latest album 'La Loba' (Bad Mother Records, 2020), '…Skilful and accurate… wistful soulfulness' (John Fordham), '…One of contemporary music's most imaginative song stylists' (Jazzwise), and her much praised album of songs from the Gershwin classic, 'Porgy & Bess' (F-IRE Records, 2014), 'A magnificent achievement' (allaboutjazz.com), Fini Bearman has made a name for herself on the UK Jazz scene as 'a true jazz artist' (Londonjazznews), equally at home performing original music as well as interpreting classic songs.
For this intimate and compelling project, Fini is joined by pianist Tom Cawley (Curios, Acoustic Ladyland, Peter Gabriel), and bassist Calum Gourlay (Kurt Elling, Kit Downes), where they are reimagining songs from the late, great songwriter of our time, David Bowie. In this acoustic line up, they will be revisiting and exploring some of David Bowie's most-loved songs and delving into some of his lesser-known back catalogue. Songs include Heroes, Space Oddity, Changes, Oh You Pretty Things, Life on Mars, and much more!
