This October the team at Creswell Crags will be delving into the fascinating history of our ancestors' migrations, and the animals who were often leading the way.
Between glaciers and grasslands, people and animals were moving huge distances across the globe during the Ice Age, exploring and settling, surviving and thriving – just as we still do today.
Animal migration is something we see all over the world. Across our planet, people gather in spring and autumn to watch mammals, birds and fish move in huge numbers between their summer homes and their wintering grounds. But once upon a time, people would have moved with them. Our fascination with migration spectacles makes sense when you remember that thousands of years ago, we would have been part of them too.
Booking advised for the Signs, Spears and Smoke event.
