Following the release of his debut album, guitarist Harry Diplock brings together an international band of some of the most exciting jazz musicians to capture a modern take on the world of acoustic jazz.
Inspired by the Parisian jazz scene and rooted in the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli the album is the culmination of over 10 years of making music in the vibrant city of London and marks a revitalisation of the genre in the UK. Harry is regarded among the top players of the style in the UK and is co-founder of the London Django Collective. Playing a program of both original music and some choice arrangements from Django himself, the quartet features a fantastic band of Sam Braysher on saxophone, Pete Thomas on bass, and guest Andrea Todesco from Verona on guitar. Following a series of concerts at the Festival Django Reinhardt, Pizza Express and Ronnie Scott's the quartet comes to Peggy's Skylight for an evening of musical surprises!
