Spend a day learning the wonderful technique of Lino Printing. Guided by artist and tutor Karen, she will teach you the skills for successful Lino cutting. Using simple techniques for striking results, this workshop gives you all the skills you need for tabletop linocut printmaking.
What you will learn:
The best tools and materials to use
Composing your design to cutting and printing your block
How to use reduction, multi-block or masking techniques for multicoloured or monochrome prints.
What you will make:
2 abstract artworks printed on card
2 Lino cut pictures printed onto cards in different colours to create different effects.
Who is the workshop for? – Perfect for all levels of ability, no experience needed.
What is included:
All materials, tools, 2 course vegetarian lunch served with wine are included in the workshop price so you don't need to bring anything, just yourself.
Outline of your session:
10am – Arrival and enjoy light refreshments
Welcome and introduction to your tutor, Karen
You will forage around the estate for natural materials to create your first abstract artwork.
Learn about the tools, materials and techniques
