Okapi are an exciting new collective from Leicestershire brewing a distinctive fusion of sounds. Born from weekly jam sessions, their music blends a fiery mix of funk, psychedelia, reggae, afrobeat, and the vibrant energy of the UK's contemporary jazz scene. Driven by deep, infectious grooves and emotive melodies, Okapi thrive on spontaneity, always leaving space for the unknown and letting improvisation guide the moment.
Having performed at festivals including Nozstock and Barefoot, the band continue to hone their craft and build a reputation for dynamic, high-energy live shows that keep audiences moving with an irresistible feel. Their debut release, Live Session EP, is out now on Spotify, YouTube and all other streaming platforms.
