We're back for another Spotlight event, welcoming early-career musicians to the stage! This month, we're joined by two singer-songwriters for an exciting doubleheader…Returning to Peggy's is Nottingham's Vee Adu, who is continuing to make waves in the local music scene with her soulful tone and powerhouse vocals, and performing with us for the first time is Aileen Kelly, a vivid storyteller whose sound continues to evolve and diversify, with influences from soul, blues, jazz and gospel.

Vee Adu
We are excited to welcome back Vee Adu, a 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Nottingham, making waves in the local music scene with her soulful tone and powerhouse vocals. Drawing from a colourful musical background of jazz, soul and blues, Vee's original material delves into the emotional complexities of betrayal, loss and love, softly reeling listeners in with her relatable but authentic storytelling.
As she continues to evolve as an artist, Vee Adu is poised to make a significant impact in the music world, inviting listeners to join her on this exciting journey and to let themselves be free throughout it.

Aileen Kelly
Aileen Kelly, is an independent singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist hailing from the West-Country. Her music is deeply personal and reflective, she is a vivid storyteller who uses imagery to illustrate her songwriting. Her sound continues to evolve and diversify, with influences from soul, blues, jazz and gospel. She studied artist development at music college in Bristol before moving to London. She started working in nursing during the pandemic, and her music became an escape from the reality she found herself living in. In 2023 she was awarded a place on the 'In the Making' artist development programme, which works in partnership with the 'Ivors Academy'. She was mentored by producer 'Cassel the Beatmaker'. Her debut album 'Maiden Voyage' was released in May 2026 produced by Cassell the Beatmaker. With an uncompromising approach to the authenticity of her music, Aileen Kelly possesses a style and attitude that is not to be underestimated.
