Southwell Minster
Tickets: £15-£60
Sheku Kanneh-Mason is one of the biggest names in classical music today. A Nottingham lad born and bred, we're delighted to welcome him back to Nottinghamshire this September.
At this special event, Sheku will be joined by long-time collaborator, Brazilian guitarist Plínio Fernandes, to perform an evening of enchanting duets. You'll experience stunning Cuban music, Brazilian tunes that tug at the heartstrings, and flamboyant tangos from Argentina. This is one concert not to miss!
Sheku became a household name in 2018 when he performed at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Windsor Castle – his performance was greeted with universal excitement after being watched by nearly two billion people globally. Sheku initially burst onto the music scene as the winner of the 2016 BBC Young Musician competition, and subsequently became a Decca recording artist. His 2020 album Elgar reached Number 8 in the UK official album chart, making Sheku the first ever cellist to reach the Top 10.
