Recently named "25 for the future" rising stars of jazz by DownBeat magazine, bright light jazz trumpeter and composer Summer will be joined by the Andrew Wood Trio for an intimate evening of music at Peggy's Skylight.

"Summer Camargo is truly a talented trumpeter whose sound is rooted in the tradition of jazz trumpet, yet is reaching forward and carving out a new sonic identity within her generation" – Ulysses Owens Jr.

Summer Camargo is a bright light jazz trumpeter and composer who was recently named "25 for the future" rising stars of jazz by DownBeat magazine. Based in New York, Summer is a regular performer at notable NYC jazz clubs like Dizzy's and Birdland, as well as a member of the Mingus Big Band.

In 2022 Summer became the newest and youngest member of the Saturday Night Live house band and is also enjoying her most recent role as a band member in Broadway's new musical, Just in Time.

For this special show, Summer will be joined by the Andrew Wood Trio for an intimate evening of music at Peggy's Skylight. The quartet performed in the UK for the first time together in 2025 to great acclaim, come and be a part of the next stage in this flourishing musical story!
