About

Every Wednesday during the school holidays

The Anchor at Gunthorpe

Make this summer one to remember at The Anchor Summer Club in Gunthorpe, where magical moments await every Wednesday throughout the school holidays.

From 12–2pm, families are invited to enjoy the pub’s much loved Character Lunches, a lively and heartwarming experience where children can dine alongside some of their favourite storybook and screen characters.

Each week brings a new line-up of guests…from superheroes and princesses to classic cartoon favourites, ready to share hugs, high fives, and selfies! While little ones enjoy a kid friendly menu full of tasty treats, grown-ups can sit back and soak up the atmosphere.

With great food, friendly faces, and a welcoming countryside setting, The Anchor offers the perfect place for families to make lasting memories this summer. Whether it’s a midweek treat or a special outing, the Character Lunches promise an afternoon of fun, laughter, and magic for all.
