You may know Grammy entrants The Bad Day from their latest album "The Irish Goodbye" which went top 20 in the official UK Jazz and Blues charts but how did they become one of the most exciting and charismatic modern bands in the UK today…

Forged from the fires of the London music scene in 2017, they developed a new genre mixing Americana, Rock n Roll, Blues, Pop, Prog and Classic Rock; described as "Springsteen meets The Killers meets Howling Wolf".

The Bad Day's first album "Table by the wall" came out in 2021 on two labels; Lunaria in the U.K. and P-Vine in Japan, under the bands previous name (The Bad Day Blues Band). The album was a critical success picking up many awards and getting international airplay on BBC, Planet Rock and many others in Japan and Brazil.

The second, more contemporary, concept album "The Bad Day" came out in 2022 under the new name. All the songs flow into each other and tell a tragic story of freedom and love. The first single from the album won Classic Rock Magazine's Track Of The Week. Mastered at Abbey Road by Miles Showell who worked on Sgt Peppers and is their vinyl specialist. The album has received rave reviews including 9/10 in Classic Rock Magazine and was 3rd in their Top Blues Albums of 2022.

Album number 3 , "The Irish Goodbye" was an official top 20 UK charting album in the Jazz and Blues Category. The lead single "Welcome to the show" in particular receiving plaudits for it's unique raw energy.

The Bad Day maintain a healthy live performance schedule, mainly in the U.K. They have played some of the best venues in the world including; Sony Hall – NYC, Ronnie Scotts, Camden Assembly, 02 Academy, The Isle of Wight Festival, The 100 Club, Blackdeer, Festival, Pennfest, Love Rocks Festival, Wildfire Festival, Guilfest, HRH Blues Fest, Brezoi Open Air Fest, and many, many others.

They also have endorsements with Guild, Orange, Mono, Ernie Ball, Crom bass, Seydel and other pedal and accessory companies.

The band have featured in many international magazines; Rolling Stone Magazine, Bassplayer (UK and US), Classic Rock Magazine and many more.

For 2026 The Bad Day will be playing select shows with "The BD Horns" and should not be missed!!
