The Robin Hood Festival returns to Sherwood Forest this summer.
The celebration of the legendary outlaw is now in its 37th year, and remains popular with visitors from all over the world.
This year's event takes place over five weekends from late July to the end of August and includes outdoor cinema, medieval jousting and combat shows, historical re-enactment, storytelling, music, comedy and much, much more.
The event opens on Thursday 27th July with three days of films, including the classic animated Disney retelling of the legend, which marks its 50th anniversary in 2023, brought to Sherwood by Adventure Cinema.
The Knights of Nottingham will bring their spectacular Robin-Hood themed Medieval jousting display to the arena from 4th-6th August, with festival favourites the Medieval Maniax providing historical hilarity.
Other much-loved RHF regulars such as entertainers Bill Brookman, What A Palaver and Nathaniel Bagshot will also be bringing their acts to reserve's venues, dotted around the main trails.
With the setting being one of the UK's most important ancient oak woodlands, there will be a weekend devoted to hands-on nature activities.
But being so steeped in history, Sherwood Forest will also resound to a clash from the past like no other - the Tournament of Champions!
The Sherwood Outlaws will take centre stage on the final festival weekend with their depiction of the battles that Robin Hood and his outlaws would have enjoyed with their arch-enemy - Sheriff of Nottingham.
