Will James is an exciting talent on the UK music scene effortlessly melting blues, jazz and soul music into beautiful original music performed with the passion of the greats of old, hailed as certified grassroots blues royalty.
"He is creating inspired collections of modern blues" – Blues in Britain Magazine
Will James is one of the most exciting and authentic voices on the UK blues scene today. A gifted singer, songwriter, and guitarist, he seamlessly blends blues, soul, and jazz into a sound that's both timeless and fiercely original – earning him the title of "certified grassroots blues royalty."
His 2020 debut album The Age of Fear made waves, leading to an invitation from legendary producer John Wooler to record in North Hollywood. The result was Sundancer (2023), a breakthrough record that soared to No.1 USA Soul Blues Album Charts and received widespread critical acclaim from leading blues publications.
Rooted in deep blues tradition but unafraid to innovate, Will's music stands out for its realness, soulful vocals, and fiery guitar work – a true triple threat. Whether on record or on stage, his passion recalls the raw honesty of the genre's greats, while pointing boldly toward the future.
Will and his quartet have built a formidable live reputation, headlining across London's top venues and sharing stages with acts like Razorlight and Dire Straits' John Illsley.
He is currently putting the finishing touches on his highly anticipated third album.
Line up:
Will James – vocals, guitar
