This week we are sharing Darren Patterson’s favourite places in Nottinghamshire. If you would like to share your ‘favourites’ with us, email us at social@experiencenottinghamshire.com or use the comment section below. You may feature on our blog and our various social media platforms.   Darren Patterson is editor at NottinghamLIVE.co.uk, a website dedicated to promoting live entertainment in Nottingham, offering reviews, interviews, features and columns on a range of Nottingham entertainment from music to theatre. "Meadow Lane - Home of the Super Magpies, I have been going there all my life and had some great times there (as well as some not so great), the whole atmosphere there is just fantastic and it's like being around an extended family. Wollaton Park - We are incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic park area almost in the middle of Nottingham, it's a great place to go with the kids for a picnic and game of football and there are some great things on there during the year. And of course it is also Wayne Manor. The Maze - A fantastic live music venue that puts on great shows, Gaz and Steph who run it are so passionate about what they do and supporting Nottingham music and you can always be sure of a great night there. Attenborough Nature Reserve - This is another great place to enjoy a walk around and a picnic, you can see some great wildlife and have a real explorer's adventure with the kids while you can also follow the river along to Beeston or Long Eaton if the weather's nice enough. The Sal (Salutation Inn)- Still one of my favourite pubs in the city, along with the likes of the Bell, Old Angel and Royal Children, a great place to end the night and often has great rock/metal bands on. A true staple of a Nottingham night out."
