This week we are sharing Mayah Riaz’s favourite places in Nottinghamshire. You can also follow Mayah on Twitter @Mayah_Riaz "The Living Room - I love the Living Room, as it's great for all different times. It's open from 11am on weekdays, so it's nice and quiet at that time to catch up on emails (thanks to the free wifi) or meet for a business meeting. It has a fantastic food menu, so perfect for a girlie lunch or for a dinner date. My favourite on the menu has got to be the Dessert Board, it has 5 miniature desserts (two of each) and apparently it's for sharing, but I've been known to be able to have it all for myself! Carrington - I love Carrington, it's such a diverse and creative part of the city. It's crammed a lot in a small area (coffee shop, hairdressers/salon, laundrette, new/modern housing complex, butchers, supermarket, recording studio, school, ironing centre, community centre, cheesecake shop and a whole lot more I've probably missed out!). If you try really hard you can even smell freshly baked bread from the old Sunblest bakery that used to be there. And only 10 minutes from the city centre. Old Market Square - it's such a great, large space in the centre of the city centre. Not only is it a great meeting point, but it's great for people watching. It also turns into an ice rink, beach, market stalls, fun fair attractions and has a big wheel in it at different times of the year. Goose Fair - it's the largest travelling fair and takes place in October. I absolutely love the buzz at that time of the year. My birthday is in early October, so if I'm lucky, some years it falls on my birthday. I'm not a fan of big scary rides anymore, so I tend to go just for the chip cob and mushy peas (with mint sauce). There's a great atmosphere when walking around."
