This week we are sharing Joan and Robin’s favourite places in Nottinghamshire. If you would like to share your ‘favourites’ with us, email us at social@experiencenottinghamshire.com or use the comment section below. You may feature on our blog and our various social media platforms.   Robin & Joan Brown own Browns of Holbeck Bed & Breakfast, a five-star award-winning B&B near Worksop. Here are their favourite places in the county. "1) The complex on the Welbeck Estate: browsing through the splendour of the displays in the Harley Gallery, the delicious food and drink to buy at the Welbeck Farm Shop,  then to the Dukeries Garden Centre, into the greenhouses of the Dukes of Portland, and finally  enjoying something to eat at the Lime House Cafe. It is a delightful way to spend a couple of hours, just a short walk from Browns. 2) Creswell Crags: the walk around the lake is so peaceful and scenic at all times of year, and then have a look at the displays in the museum of how our distance ancestors would have lived. You can even see Ice Age cave art in the caves. 3) The Walled Garden at Clumber Park, it is stunning, looking into the vast glasshouses, and then a wonderful afternoon tea in Barkers, which was the home of the last gardener Mr. Barker on the Duke of Newcastle's Estate, before it became Clumber Park. 4) The variety of things to see at The Courtyard at Thoresby Park, including  The Queen's Royal Lancers & Nottinghamshire Yeomanry Museum is so interesting, and informative too; telling the story from the days of the cavalry charges right up to the present day in Iraq and Afghanistan."
