You may feature on our blog and our various social media platforms.   Local resident Daniel White works for ICS which provide call handling solutions for over 2,000 companies in the UK www.answer-4u.com "Having a young family I like to get out as much as possible at the weekend and so we love to visit Rufford Country Park as it has the right mix of activities for the kids, great walks, a craft centre and of course the Ford, which the kids love watching on a wet day. At this time of year we always look forward to a visit to their Aurora Illuminations and a visit to Santa’s Grotto. Another place we visit regularly and is very special place is to us is Newstead Abbey, as we were married in the Orangery. This great place also has the right mix of things for us all to do, especially discovering all the nooks and crannies in the spectacular gardens. If we are staying a little closer to home then we will take the kids to either Nottingham Castle, Galleries of Justice Museum or Nottingham Contemporary. They all have a wide range of activities for adults and kids alike and are places Nottingham should be really proud of. No family trip to Nottingham is complete without a visit to these places. My wife and I have discovered some great smaller restaurants and we both love tapas, so keep going back to Bar De Nada. As I am a big fan of steak I love to visit Marco Pierre White’ Steakhouse and follow the meal up with a wander around Alea Casino, soaking up the atmosphere rather than indulging too much on the tables. Definitely a venue that has pretty much everything under one roof. If I am out with friends then we tend to visit all the great pubs on Mansfield Road, starting at the Forest Tavern and working our way down, via The Loft, Hard to Find Café, Lincolnshire Poacher, Golden Fleece, The Hole in The Wall, Newcastle Arms and The Orange Tree and usually end up at one of the great eateries or at a bar in town."
