Wallace and Gromit have a cracking time in Nottingham! When your last holiday was spent exploring the moon in a homemade space rocket, what to do next could be a tough call. Step forward VisitEngland, who invited Wallace and Gromit to join them on a grand adventure, visiting cracking tourist spots across the country as part of a UK wide tour. Packing plenty of cheese into their trusty motorbike and sidecar, the adventurous duo began their journey across England this week, stopping in Nottingham on Saturday 27 April to visit the home of Robin Hood. Crowds outside the Nottingham Tourism Centre on Smithy Row gave Wallace and his faithful friend Gromit a warm Notts welcome. Despite the unpredictability of the weather, the duo spent time greeting locals, both young and old. There were plenty of chances for photo opportunities, and the dynamic duo made time to meet their fans and even provided a few signatures! The following day, the pair spent some time sight-seeing in the city, even meeting Robin Hood himself at Nottingham Castle. Nottinghamshire has plenty on offer for the pair, from dog friendly accommodation to cracking cheese dairies! Find out what else Wallace and Gromit thought of their visit in their guide to Nottingham, here.
