Of all the days of the week, Wednesday is perhaps the least inspiring.  The previous weekend is a distant memory while the next one seems too far away to get excited about. The Riverbank Bar and Kitchen in West Bridgford, however, has the perfect antidote to the mid-week blues in the form of its Ladies' Night which takes place every Wednesday evening. hot_gossip (3) Tempted by the offer of a delicious meal plus a free cocktail, my friends and I decided to check out the event earlier this month when we were treated to an hilarious evening with Butlers in the Buff who served us in the buff (well, sort of). The Riverbank is known for its great food and we enjoyed a fantastic selection of tapas, all washed down by a lovely glass of crisp Pinot Grigio. image_04 Each week there are demonstrations, including live music and make-up, along with guest appearances from the likes of Susan Ma, the founder of the Tropic Pure Plant Skin Care Company and a contestant in the 2011 series of The Apprentice. So if you are looking for a fun and relaxed place to spend an evening with the girls then I would definitely recommend Ladies’ Night. Oh, and if you want to catch a glimpse of those Butlers in the Buff then they will be making a return visit on 9th October! The Riverbank Bar and Kitchen at Trent Bridge, Nottingham has stunning riverside views and I’d recommend a visit any day of the week.  It is situated by the River Trent and is a perfect way to finish a walk along the leafy Victoria Embankment. Ladies Night at the Riverbank is £10 (£15 for Butlers in the Buff) which includes a meal and a cocktail. Find out about other events taking place at the Riverbank here.
