The show stars singer Stacey Solomon as Tinkerbell and she has taken time out of her busy celebrity schedule to answer a few questions. Find out how winning I’m a Celebrity... changed her career, what she loves about the story of Peter Pan and how she feels she is similar to her stage character of Tinker Bell. Q: What appealed to you about starring as Tinker Bell in Peter Pan – The Never Ending Story? It’s every girl’s dream to play Tinker Bell. Peter Pan is one of my absolute favourite stories. Also, the show looks fantastic. It’s such a massive production – the whole thing is magical. It’s such an honour to be asked to be in this wonderful production and play this great character.  Peter Pan - Captain Hook shotQ: What do you particularly adore about the story of Peter Pan? I loved it when I was growing up, but I love it even more now. As an adult, it really hits home as you don’t want to grow up. You want to be a kid forever. The more I grow up, the more I love this story.  Q: Describe the character of Tinker Bell to us. Tinker Bell is quite mischievous. She initially seems a bit hard on the outside, but she is actually really sweet. Tinker Bell has an additional role in this – she is narrating the whole show. I hope I’m able to do credit to this great story as the narrator. It’s scary, but it’s going to be an incredible challenge.  Q: Are you nervous about the prospect of narrating? Definitely - it is very nerve-wracking telling the whole story to thousands of people. The idea is pretty frightening, but then again I get nervous about everything I do. If I didn’t, it would feel wrong.  Q: How would you characterise Tinker Bell’s relationship with Wendy? She is a little bit jealous of Wendy, because they’re both in love with Peter. There’s a tiny bit of competition between them, but I won’t play that up too much.  Peter Pan - Tinker Bell shotQ: How do you feel about flying? I’m so excited! I’ll be flying attached to a harness, and it’s going to be an amazing experience. My children are over the moon that I will be flying. They are ecstatic, but I have to admit that I’m so nervous about it. But I know that once I get up there, it will be great as I will be flying to the top of the arena, and I’ll have the best view in the house. I’ll let you know how it goes.  Q: Are you excited about singing “You Raise Me Up” in the show? I can’t wait - it’s such a beautiful song, and singing it in an arena is really, really thrilling. I absolutely adore singing – it’s been my passion since I was a little girl. To be able to sing 'You Raise Me Up' in front of thousands of people is a lovely opportunity. It is a very powerful, passionate song and the chance to sing about something that really gets to people is amazing.  Q: Will singing live again bring back memories of your marvellous performances on The X Factor? Definitely! I’m sure all those feelings will come flooding back, but I don’t mind because I love singing with a passion.  Q: How do your legions of fans treat you when you bump into them in the street? People are always really nice to me. I’m very lucky because they talk to me like they know me already. It is lovely to be on the receiving end of all that warmth.  Peter Pan shotQ: Do you worry about the acting in Peter Pan – The Never Ending Story? I just hope that it will come naturally. I want to do it justice, and I have got loads of good people helping me.  Q: Has this experience of working on Peter Pan – The Never Ending Story made you want to star in another big show? I definitely wouldn’t say no as it’s something I really enjoy doing. It’s very hard work, but you get such a lot out of it. If the right role came along, I’d certainly be up for it. Q: What effect has winning I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! had on your career? It’s been huge. I never in a million years thought that I would win that show, but I loved the whole experience. I had a fabulous time in the jungle. Q: Finally, are there any similarities between you and Tinker Bell? Yes, I’m very similar to Tinker Bell. Like her, I’m definitely cheeky and I feel like a fairy half the time! Did you know the creator of Peter Pan J.M. Barrie lived in Nottingham, and Neverland was inspired by our beautiful Arboretum? All it takes is faith and trust, and a little bit of pixie dust to join in the magical adventure; Oh, and of course a visit to the Capital FM Arena website or the venue itself to purchase your tickets.
