Do tarantulas set your teeth on edge? Cockroaches make your skin crawl? Rats send you running? Then perhaps it’s time to face your fears with a creepy critter encounter at the Galleries of Justice. The Galleries of Justice Museum has teamed up with the friendly crew from White Post Farm, to offer visitors something decidedly different this Halloween. The Creepy Critters encounters will be taking place again on Monday 27 October, 11am – 3pm, at Galleries of Justice Museum, and are a free additional experience to everyone taking part in a museum tour during that time. A whole range of critters will be there waiting to meet you. From Cynthia the tarantula to Telula the snake and Henry the bearded dragon. Friendly animals waiting to say hi include mice, rats and gerbils, plus the decidedly bizarre African land snails and Madagascan hissing cockroaches. It’s all part of the Halloween Freaky Fortnight at the Galleries of Justice Museum, 18 October – 2 November, with a number of fantastic and frightful events taking place at this popular spooky attraction. I popped down to the first session on Monday 20 October to meet these intriguing creatures firsthand, and even managed to conquer my fear and hold Cynthia the tarantula. Are you brave enough?   Creepy Critters at Galleries of Justice Museum 11am – 3pm, Monday 27 October FREE as part of normal museum tour price http://www.galleriesofjustice.org.uk/halloween-2014/
