Homemade Cafe at the Pavilion has officially launched its new summer evening offering at its Forest Recreation Ground venue, following a successful first year. The award-winning bistro is helping bring a slice of summer to Nottingham with a brand new seasonal menu, late night openings and regular live music. Alfresco dining will be on offer on its spacious sun terrace as the venue opens its doors for the first time in the evenings, Thursday-Saturday, June through to August, until 10pm, making the most of the long summer nights. Homemade’s creator Jasmin Barlow-Wilkinson is excited for the months ahead: Our new summer project is one of our most exciting yet and coincides nicely with Homemade’s tenth birthday. The menu will be changed every two weeks to make the most of the seasonal produce with different dishes. Weather permitting, we hope our gorgeous terrace will become a firm summer al fresco dining fixture for people to enjoy time together, whether it be friends after work, families or even many of our regular pooches!” Throughout the summer months the menu will feature continental and Latin inspired dishes such as Homemade Enchiladas, Spanish Fish Stew, Moules Frites, Homemade Risotto, Quesadillas, plenty of colourful summer salads, alongside some Homemade favourites. Complementing the supper menu, will be a selection of craft & continental beers, organic ciders, carefully matched wines and summer favourites such as gin & elderflower and iced coffees. Homemade at the Pavilion is committed to sourcing local produce where possible, and in the future plans to have some of the ingredients for the menu coming from the shared community garden and its own herb patch, also situated on the Forest Recreation Ground.  Following the park’s £5.2m renovation project, Homemade Café has firmly integrated itself as part of the local community, as Jasmin explains: “The response since we arrived here has been great. The Forest Recreation Ground has been given a new lease of life and it’s been wonderful to be part of something so exciting. We have really enjoyed welcoming new and regular faces to our newest venue and we have built some really strong relationships in the short time we have been here. It has been so nice to meet everyone and so many beautiful dogs too, who have also become regulars. “We are looking forward to hosting a number of live music acts over the summer evenings to create a laid back casual dining atmosphere, helping to showcase the best Nottingham talent and giving people a platform to perform. It’s going to be an exciting few months at Homemade at the Pavillion.” Homemade at the Pavillion at the Forest Recreation Ground is the latest addition to the Homemade Café family, following its successful flagship store on Pelham Street in the city centre.
