Bowling, interactive games and traditional family fun all come together under one roof thanks to a new family entertainment centre in The Cornerhouse, Nottingham. Fun Station has opened its on the second floor of the city’s leading leisure and entertainment complex, offering a host of fun-packed interactive games. Alongside the latest technology, visitors can also try Highway 66 Family Bowling, with lightweight balls and six compact lanes, it’s an ideal game for all ages. A variety of fun-packed interactive games like Kung Fu Panda Dojo Mojo and Jurassic Park are also on offer, sitting alongside all-time family favourites like air hockey and crane-grabs. Fun Station has some of the latest video games on offer including the Star Wars Battle Pod, which is just like flying an X-wing fighter. Suzanne Green, centre manager at The Cornerhouse, said it’s the perfect place to take the kids over the school summer holiday. She said: “It’s great to see Fun Station now open at The Cornerhouse as it really brings something a little bit different to the mix of leisure and entertainment facilities we already have on offer. Visitors can access everything under one roof from the cinema and bowling to a meal in one of our restaurants.” Liz Lawson, group marketing manager at Fun Station, said another great thing about Fun Station is that it offers a new way to play through its cashless system. She said: “Visitors can pick up a Fun Card at the counter or self-service kiosk, once this is loaded up they can just swipe and play, there’s no need for coins anymore.” “Tickets can be won by playing all their favourite games, including Highway 66 Family Bowling, which can be exchanged for great prizes, anything from keyrings to iPads.” The Fun Station family entertainment centre is already proving popular in other cities including Leeds, Glasgow and Birmingham. The Cornerhouse offers diners a choice of 14 bars and restaurants, alongside Cineworld which houses the only IMAX screen in the East Midlands, a casino, adventure golf, hairdressers, a nightclub and a comedy club.
