The Robin Hood Game and Country Show is coming to Newark Showground on 17 & 18 October offering something for everyone - from the serious game enthusiast to families looking for a fun day out - and we’ve got 10 pairs of tickets up for grabs.

During the jam-packed weekend of interactive attractions, the Main Arena will feature Robin Hood and his Merry Men, along with thrilling, breath-taking displays of stunt riding and jousting by the leading Stampede Stunt Display Team – and it’ll also welcome back the newly-renamed Conquest K9 dog display team.

Steve’s Gundog and Falconry Display will also be in the Main Arena with an exciting All About Dogs Show Girl With Dogand informative show. As well as a gundog scurry and flying display, there will also be a chance to see how dogs and hawks can work together – you may even be lucky enough to have a Harris Hawk fly to your fist. A static display gives showgoers a chance to meet some of the stars.

From fishing to shooting, the Robin Hood Game and Country Show features more country pursuits than you can shake a beautifully-carved stick at. The popular Countryman’s Walk has all you need for your outdoor pursuits and various accessories including top quality country clothing. Newark Shooting Show, meanwhile, will be based in the George Stephenson Exhibition Hall, and will feature a host of top brands and products from the shooting world.

Meanwhile, the All About Dogs zone features a huge selection of showcases to make sure your faithful friend has a great day out too, with have-a-go scurry and agility activities, obedience training and recall challenges - as well as fun dog shows, trade stands and arena displays. There is also the chance to see some unusual breeds and get some expert advice about your pet. The show will also see the return of Kidgility. Brought to you by Lone Wolf Agility, this fun filled audience participation show for children and adults stars Faze the working sheepdog and his fluffy sidekick Suga, entertaining the crowds with their amazing jumping skills.

Other activities for the whole family include field archery and shooting, as well as entertaining and educational displays. New for 2015 is Luke Chapman’s chainsaw carving. Watch a live demonstration and perhaps even buy one of his creations.

When energy levels flag, follow the smell of sweet fudge and sizzling sausages to the Food & Drink Court. There’s plenty of shopping to be done, and the chance to sample and buy a range of scrumptious produce - from fine wines to delicious cheeses.
