From tea house to magical house

High ceilings, sparkling chandeliers, beautiful paisley wallpaper and a twisted staircase – all conjure up images of an English manor house… but not for the National Trust’s Clumber Park this festive season!  The Garden Tea House at Clumber Park is set to be transformed into a magnificent Christmas spectacle - Father Christmas’s Magical House!   And it will be open every weekend from 28th November to 13th December and then daily from 19th to 23rd December from 9.00am to 3.00pm. Clumber Park will welcome Father Christmas and his special friends this festive season in what is set to be Clumber’s biggest and most anticipated Christmas spectacle yet.  Storytime with Mrs Christmas will capture the attention of many of the little ones and their faces will be a picture when Father Christmas’s special guests arrive to provide the ‘awwww’ factor when his real-life reindeers come to visit! For the first time ever, children will have a unique opportunity to step inside Father Christmas’s House, visit his living room, meet his elves, explore his workshop and see how he makes all of his Christmas gifts.  Free photograph opportunities will be available with the man himself. Marketing Manager at Clumber Park, Faye Rollinson commented; “The entire team is very excited about Father Christmas and his special guests coming to visit Clumber Park this Christmas.  This event is bigger and better than anything we have done before and we are very lucky that we have the Garden Tea House to transform into a magical experience for our visitors.  We are confident this will capture the hearts and imaginations of all ages – even the adults!” There will be something for everyone at Clumber Park this festive season:  the National Trust gift shop will provide the opportunity to stock up on Christmas cards and gifts.   Warming, homemade refreshments will be available in the café, providing just the thing after visiting Father Christmas or embarking on brisk walk in the stunning surroundings of the park.
