Cycling enthusiasts across Nottinghamshire are being encouraged to sign up to the Great Notts Bike Ride before the end of January and take advantage of its early bird entry. Taking place on Sunday 26th June, participants can sign up to one of four idyllic routes; The Maid Marian (25 miles), The Robin Hood (50 miles), The Friar Tuck (75 miles) and The ‘Little’ John (100 miles). Nik Emmonds, Account Director for Events at Beeston based Perfect Motion, who organises Cycle Live Nottingham, said: “This year’s Great Notts Bike Ride is going to be bigger and better than ever; the addition of The Friar Tuck 75-mile route in celebration of the event’s 35th year has so far been well received and already entries are flooding in. “With this in mind, we are urging all potential participants to secure their places for this year’s event and save some money by entering before the end of January.” The Great Notts Bike Ride is the grand finale to Cycle Live Nottingham, an annual weekend festival of cycling that takes place on the Victoria Embankment on 25th and 26th June 2016. Early bird entries to the East Midlands’ premier mass participation bike ride remain open until midnight on Sunday 31st January. Sign up online; www.cyclelivenottingham.co.uk or call 0115 968 3327.
