Cycle Live Nottingham has officially opened entries to the Nottingham City Ride, taking place on Saturday 25th June as part of the annual festival of cycling. Now in its fifth year, the family-friendly Nottingham City Ride consists of a choice of 2.5, 7.5 or 10.5 mile routes and has become increasingly popular with families. Starting and finishing at Nottingham’s Victoria Embankment, all three predominantly off road routes enable young children and people who are new to cycling to take part. Nik Emmonds, Account Director for Events at Beeston based Perfect Motion, who organises Cycle Live Nottingham, said: “The Nottingham City Ride forms part of a huge weekend of cycling and is always popular with families, children and novice cyclists wanting to be part of the action with three achievable distances available. “On the Sunday the Great Notts Bike Ride will be back for its 35th year and with entries already flooding in we’re confident it’ll be a fantastic weekend of cycling.” Early bird entries for the Nottingham City Ride cost £5 for adults and £1 for children. All riders will receive an event goody bag and medal on return to the event village. Cycle Live Nottingham culminates with the popular Great Notts Bike Ride on Sunday 26th June, with entries now open for The Maid Marian (25 miles), The Robin Hood (50 miles), The Friar Tuck (75 Miles) and The ‘Little’ John (100 miles).
