We can't wait to watch to the series finale of BBC Two's gripping drama Line of Duty tonight - not least because of the homegrown talent in the cast! We caught up with Basford native Arsher Ali to talk all things Notts. What do you and your family like to get up to in Notts when you’re not busy filming? I have an office in town - so I spend as much time as I can with my friend and writing partner, Hugh Dichmont. Other than that - my visits to Nottingham are to my Mum's house or the other most important place in Nottingham... the City Ground. Do you have any favourite places to eat in when you’re back in the city? Harts in the Park is a lovely place, great food with wonderful service. Alley Cafe is always a favourite, because of my vegan diet. Royal Express Cafe is also very underrated - there are amazing Middle Eastern nibbles there. If you're feeling brave and you like pizza - Das Kino is the place to be. Just don't eat any of the ping-pong balls and don't make eye contact with all the uber-hip young folks. A die-hard Nottingham Forest supporter – we bet you enjoyed the I Believe in Miracles film that came out last year? Absolutely. It's great to see Jonny Owen praised for commemorating such a special occasion as the club's 150th anniversary. 671346 Where is the best park to have a kickabout in Notts? Lately, it's been the new Forest Sports Zone. A very impressive facility which Nottingham should be proud of. Otherwise, anywhere except roundabouts. We hear you’re also a big cricket fan. Will you be watching the Royal London One Day Internationals at Trent Bridge this Summer? Alas, I won't be. It's so hard to judge whether I'll be free to attend when tickets go on sale. I've spent small fortunes on tickets in the past and ended up giving them away. I watched most of The Ashes at Trent Bridge in a trailer on my iPad! It was a wonderful occasion. When you’re talking about Notts to people who haven’t visited, what’s your top tip for making the most of their visit? Go to all the historical places. The Castle, the Lace Market... Batman's house. I always tell them about the caves and Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem. And if they have the time - Sherwood Forest is a must. Visit the Major Oak and feel humbled in it's presence. And finally, let’s see how ‘proper’ Notts you are (no cheating!) Owdya orsuzz - Hold your horses! Worra yer on wi - What the devil do you mean? Tint/dint - I didn't! Top marks! Line of Duty's special 90 minute episode is on tonight at 9pm on BBC Two and you can find more ideas for things to do in Nottingham on our What's On Guide.
