A new partnership has been launched between Nottingham’s tram network and The Cornerhouse to offer revellers discount travel to the entertainment venue. Cornerhouse card holders are now able to use the tram’s popular £2 Event Ticket for return travel to the venue on Burton Street after 5pm, between Monday and Thursday each week. The Cornerhouse, which is a short walk from the Royal Centre tram stop, is home to a variety of restaurants and leisure activities, including a cinema, an adventure golf course and a casino. Stephanie Moss-Pearce, Assistant Marketing Manager at NET, explained: "Our Event Ticket continues to be extremely popular with people travelling to sporting fixtures, shows and events at venues across the city and we’re delighted to now team up with The Cornerhouse to offer their customers discount tram travel. “Those heading out for a fun-filled evening at the venue can also avoid the hassle and expense of finding city centre parking by using one of over 5,000 free spaces at our 7 park & ride sites across Nottingham.” Suzanne Green, Centre Manager at The Cornerhouse, adds: “We’re excited for the launch of the new Cornerhouse Event Ticket on Nottingham’s tram network, this offer will allow more visitors from outside of the city centre to access our range of venues at an affordable price. “It’s great to be able to give our loyal customers with Cornerhouse cards another perk they can take advantage of. With scheduled journey’s running up until 1am, the tram is an ideal solution for anyone visiting our many bars and restaurants, or viewing a late night movie.” The £2 Event Tickets will be available from all tram stop ticket machines across the city’s network. Cornerhouse card holders must ensure they have their card with them and are able to present it, along with their tram ticket, should they be asked by travel officers.
