Lord Byron's legacy lives on in Nottinghamshire - and we're looking forward to the Nottingham Poetry Festival, which will feature Carol Ann Duffy, Wendy Cope OBE, Simon Armitage, John Cooper Clarke among many more.

Lord Byron - something of a local legend - was one of Nottingham’s famous poets, a peer, a politician, and a leading figure in the Romantic movement. Is it any wonder that Nottingham is England's Home of Sport. This fantastic snap gives a clue as to why. We're also delighted that Nottingham's National Watersports Centre has just been chosen as the venue for the ICF World Freestyle Canoeing Championships in 2021.
