Lord Byron's legacy lives on in Nottinghamshire - and we're looking forward to the Nottingham Poetry Festival, which will feature Carol Ann Duffy, Wendy Cope OBE, Simon Armitage, John Cooper Clarke among many more.Lord Byron - something of a local legend - was one of Nottingham’s famous poets, a peer, a politician, and a leading figure in the Romantic movement. You really can’t miss his influence on the city, and if you ask a local they might well mention him as the prodigal son (rather than Robin of Loxley) ;) #nottingham #nottinghamshire #lovenotts #ig_nottingham #lordbyron #bryon #locallegend #sculpture #statue #bust #famous #poet #stone #nottinghamcastle #localhero #localheros A post shared by Hydrogen Nottingham (@hydrogennotts) on
