Nottinghamshire is one of the top tourism destinations in the UK and the brand-new official Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Visitor Guide for 2017/2018, launched this week, demonstrates the best the region has to offer visitors to the region.
From legends and heritage through to contemporary arts and culture, and from shopping to sport, the guide is packed with ideas and inspiration on places to visit, where to stay and what to do and see – including the world-exclusive Dinosaurs of China exhibition which is coming to Nottingham from 1 July to 29 October.
The free, 96-page, glossy guide, produced by Visit Nottinghamshire, will help visitors get the most from their trip whether they are staying for a day or much longer. It has been given a fresh new look in-line with the new brand identity for the organisation.
Nottingham’s pioneering spirit, led by world-famous Robin Hood, whose iconic statue is featured on the cover, is evident throughout the guide and visitors can choose from countless suggestions for finding the outlaw himself to spending three days in the UNESCO City of Literature.
The guide features a welcome from the Chief Executive of Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, Brendan Moffett. He says: “This definitive guide highlights the very best the area has to offer visitors. If features over 500 tourism businesses and attractions from the historical heart and soul of the Creative Quarter in the city centre to the landscapes and legends in the wider county.
“Nottinghamshire’s rich and diverse heritage has been the inspiration for storytellers for centuries and our daring and innovative spirit will excite and entertain visitors, whether they are a dinosaur seeker, sports fan, music maestro, food lover or historical enthusiast, there is no shortage of things to do and see in our hip city and legendary county.”
