Live Ceilidh with The Big Moose Ceilidh Band

4. Live Ceilidh with The Big Moose Ceilidh Band

Saturday 24th February | Belgrave Rooms, Nottingham | From 7.30pm | Tickets £20 in advance or £25 on the night

Come and burl those February cobwebs away at this ceilidh, with music from The Big Moose Ceilidh Band! You don't even need to be a member of the Nottingham Ceilidh Club to join in the fun.

You can expect fun, laughter, dancing out of time with the music, and probably having sore feet afterwards. It's not technical and half the fun is making mistakes. So, you really don't need to know what to do.

Everyone gets a go. No one has the chance to bust different moves, and because no one *really* knows what's going on it's very difficult to feel self-conscious. Essentially, most people are just guessing what they're supposed to be doing, and that makes it brilliant.

Saturday Afternoon – Unplugged

5. Saturday Afternoon – Unplugged

Saturday 24th February |  Peggy's Skylight, Nottingham | From 12pm - 3.30pm | Free entry

Join Peggy’s informal Saturday afternoon session where musicians play and food & drink is served.

Their musicians will perform in relaxed acoustic setting enabling you to chat, drink & dine. It’s also a great opportunity to sample their delicious menu, which takes inspiration from Lebanon, North Africa and Cyprus, following in the footsteps of the Jazz Ambassadors and replicating some of the dishes they might have encountered on their travels.

Pop in while shopping or take a break from your usual weekend routine at this independent jazz bar in the heart of Nottingham. This is a wonderful way to spend some quality time with a loved one, or even a unique date to enjoy with someone special.
