Nottingham 10K Returns for 2027 with Brand-New Flatter, Faster Route

Runners are being invited to lace up their trainers as the Nottingham 10K returns on 23rd May 2027 with a completely redesigned route, created to deliver a flatter, faster and more enjoyable race-day experience.

Following feedback from participants that sections of the previous course were particularly challenging due to the hills and elevation, organisers Run For All have undertaken a full route review to create a course that is significantly flatter and more accessible, while still showcasing some of Nottingham's most iconic landmarks.

The new route will start and finish at Victoria Embankment, offering a stunning setting for race day alongside a larger event village and enhanced spectator opportunities. From the start line, runners will take on a scenic tour of the city, passing landmarks including the City Ground, Meadow Lane and Trent Bridge Cricket Ground before following the banks of the River Trent on the final stretch back to the finish.

Designed with all abilities in mind, the new course removes many of the tougher climbs that featured previously, creating a smoother and faster route that is ideal for both experienced runners chasing a personal best and those taking on their first ever 10K.

While the course has changed, the spirit of the event remains the same. The Nottingham 10K continues to bring communities together, inspire people to be active and raise vital funds for charities across Nottinghamshire and beyond. Participants will once again have the opportunity to support a range of good causes, including the event's official partner charities, helping to make a positive difference locally and nationally.
